More detailed design

 This is a more detailed design, compared to the sketch, it has the same features along side with the sketch. We also asked out client Mr. Lee if he prefer the type of layout. He then consulted us in a meeting.

Drafting the design

Jerry and I started to begin the draft of what might become our final piece, the website. We want the website to be fluid, simple and easy to use. We added all the right features to what we think we want, and what is suitable for the website. We came up with this...

This will be the layout of our website, there will be separate tabs for each page e.g about, images, events. On the main page the school SIS logo will be displayed along side with the photo of the schools badminton team. There will be a newsfeed on the homepage, with a calendar with results as well, an extra feature we could add in would be the social networking tabs, Facebook and YouTube.

We will have to maintain the Facebook and YouTube pages for the time being since there isn't one for our school yet. Although we can always add other pages not but specific to badminton, e.g School youtube page.

Issues that we came across

Our group came up with a variety of problems during the process, one problem was that we couldn't download Dreamweaver properly. The Dreamweaver application took too long to download and after downloading couldn't open. If we didn't want to use the trial version we would have to buy the full version. This is not one of our groups options, since we want to work without resulting to an investment to a product.

Research on different website makers

Even though before I have chosen Wix before for my website maker, I think this time I will use the IM creator for a change, since I want to use a more simple designer which also has more beautiful, vibrant and rich colours in their website's templates.

Down below are the advantages of each website maker along with my own word of whats best for myself.

Wix

There are several types of advantages for Wix, which makes me persuaded to use this website maker for my default website maker.
