Survey to evaluate client based project (website)

Our group had made a survey for the few testers for our website, these testers are actual members of the South Island School Badminton team. We only gave our survey to seven members, because our client and ourselves didn't wish to show the entire site to the badminton members.                                                                                                                    Our first question being a basic rating. We question the customer on in general how the website was compared to other competition websites. As the responses are honest, we now know that our website isn't perfect at all, and there is lots of room for improvement. The table didn't work very well, but the tally at the bottom shows the actual ratings, 5 being highest. The percentages show how many people had chosen that rating.
We also asked in the survey what their favourite feature from our website was, the majority of the people said that they like the timetable due to its easy use and its informative dates. Coming afterwards was the appearance of the website and also the photo gallery that we had to offer.

We also asked our customer how we could improve if we ever needed to do this project again. Most of the responses suggested that we could make the website more lively and contain more features like tools, applications and more text/information.
Our last question was aimed only at people of the South Island School badminton team. We asked them if our website was useful for their pre-match and preparation. 6 out of 7 said they would use the website again, which gives us hope that our website will be heavily used by our customers in the future.

After our group has completed making the website, we had to check if the website fit the requirements of our client. We instead had a meeting with our client in person, so that our client could explain his likes and dislikes of his product. The response of our client was very brief, he had explained to us that he liked the overall look and features which was on our website. In addition we added the dates of various events for badminton games. We also included some photos and pictures of previous events and special moments.

Our groups plan

This is our plan for our ICT project, first off we will show our group's goals to our client so that he is satisfied that we are doing the right modifications to his product. Afterwards we would try and find the different themes and elements which we want and our client wants. Once we have these themes we will check if our client is satisfied with our changes and choices. This will be displayed with a pages document, using different shapes and colours to manipulate what our website might look like. Once our client has reassured that he likes our prototype. We will also choose a suitable website application to produce our website, it has to contain features which we have included in our prototype. We will also alter our prototype to how our client may prefer our website to look. Once a basic design is completed we will plan further so that our website is more appealing to customers. Once the website is completed we will create a survey to question our customers opinions. We might ask open questions like "How could we improve the website?", "what did you like?" or "what additional information could we include, in terms of badminton details?".

Intuit Website Creator
Advantages:
-A website building software with many templates and you don't have too much web experience, Intuit is a good choice.

-Setting it up is very easy to do with many premade templates. The difference between Joomla and Intuit is that you're allowed more freedom to edit scripts with Joomla, and is great if you have some prior website building experience.

This is my ICT website for our client base project. We have completed our website with a variety of features to show off. We had the same stuff from our prototype which we then implemented in our website now.
http://sisbadminton.webs.com/

Here are some picture of our website.

This is our website's front page. This will display the badminton's roster, an overview of our website and what it's purpose is. Finally there will also be a section where the user may ask questions if they have any inquires about the website.
On this page it contains a calendar which contains events coming up in the future. Those events are badminton games, training and other important events like team meetings.
Another page option could be a gallery which could contain pictures from different events. Once handed over to our client, he will have full control of what pictures he can put up on the site.

Additions to our website

Along side with all the basic features like a calendar and pictures. We also added a

Progress Building the site

This was our website builder we used called Webs, we started by making many different edits to the website like colour changes or the different texts that we have around the website. We also created the different tabs to have and then edited each of them to our needs and our clients needs.

In this picture we are selecting the layout of our website, this is decided by our client which preferred a more neat and thin feeling layout. He forced us not to use anything that might seem to clumpy and bulky.
In this picture I am choosing the different colours to use around my website. Again this is decided by our client which preferred non-vibrant colours. With that in mind I avoided fluorescent or loud colours. I ended up using colours such as blue, black, white or grey.
In this picture I started including some features for our website. So with that in mind I put a variety of useful tools, this included the features that our client would have wanted as well. We included text boxes filled with information, social links, different tabs, pictures, calendar client and a video player.
This picture is similar to the one at the top, except it has an extra text box. This picture shows what our text box would look like in our website and our editor.
